We will celebrate two wonderful Overfield traditions in the next two weeks:

  • Night Hike, Friday, May 9 at 6:30 pm: This event for all families gives us the chance to observe the campus at night while we are away from school. Bring a flashlight and dress for walking. Our Kindergarteners have been preparing stations for the event and will serve as guides for the evening. To celebrate, the Kindergarten children will camp out in tents afterwards. Some campers are in need of tents. Please contact the office if you have a tent you would be willing to loan to an Overfield family for the night.  If the night hike is rained out on the 9th, it will be rescheduled for Friday, May 16.
  • The Guitar Man Returns! May 12–16: Jim McCutcheon will arrive on Monday, May 12 with a car full of guitars, ukeleles and other stringed instruments to share with the children. In addition to spending the week working with classes, the Guitar Man will perform and lead us all in song at an Artist’s Celebration at 6 pm on Thursday, May 15.

  • Strawberry Festival Sign-ups: Overfield Family Partnership is organizing a booth to sell drinks at the Strawberry Festival June 7 and 8. The booth is a great opportunity to be part of a huge, fun annual event where we can raise money and let people know about our wonderful school all at once.  It will also be a great chance to work side by side with others from the school community.
