“In the Reggio Emilia preschools, each chid is viewed as infinitely capable, creative, and intelligent. The job of the teachers is to support these qualities and to challenge children in appropriate ways so that they develop fully.”
-Louise Boyd Cadwell
Thanks to all who ate out at Troy’s Chipotle last Tuesday. You helped earn $590.25 for the Overfield Family Partnership Fund in a single evening!
News from our Naturalist…
Last week many of the children put on one of our bee suits and checked out the busy honeybees in our apiary. I attended the Ohio State Farm Science Review on Wednesday, and came back inspired about the potential for our little apiary.
Next week we will try out our new honey extractor with four frames of honey. I am hoping the children will be able to observe how honey comes from the bees to our table.

Our first set of class meetings will take place next Tuesday, October 4th at 6:00 p.m. These meetings provide an opportunity to dialogue together as parents and teachers. We look forward to an evening of sharing about the wonderful things that happen in the classrooms at Overfield!
From time to time we need substitute teachers in the classroom. We are always on the lookout for new candidates and parents are one of our best resources! If you know anyone that would be a good match, please email Beth Poronsky at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you!
