- Carla’s CDs for Sale: Many years ago, Carla Briggs recorded “Soulcake: Songs that Children Love” in San Francisco with her friend Paula. “Our original intention in making this recording years ago, was to inspire parents to sing to their children,” they wrote. Carla has just received a shipment of Soulcake cds, and we are offering them for sale for $15, with a portion of the proceeds going to support Overfield. Reserve your copy by contacting Stephany in the office, or look for the order form coming home with children this week. Payments can be left in the office communications basket and cds will then be sent home in children’s bags. Or, stop by the Gathering Place next week during drop off to pick up your copy. Click here to call or email Stephany.
- Eat a burrito, support Overfield’s Annual Fund: Next Wednesday, December 10, from 5-8 p.m. will be Overfield night at the Troy Chipotle. Our school will receive 50% of profits from all customers that mention our name. Spread the word; you don’t have to be an Overfield family to participate. Mark your calendars, and plan on a yummy dinner with no shopping or dishwashing necessary. Flyers will be sent home before the event.
- Night Tree planning is underway: The children begin this week making treats for birds, squirrels and other local animals in preparation for our upcoming annual Night Tree celebrations, inspired by the book by Eve Bunting. Families are invited to join their children’s classes for an evening of singing and celebrating literature, nature, and the simple joy of being together.
