Lost and Found
Is your child missing a hat, pair of gloves, or a jacket? Check our lost and found! This bin in the Gathering Place is overflowing with misplaced items. At the end of the month all unclaimed items will join our “extra clothes” bin. Thanks for your help with reuniting these items with their original owner!
“We should spend less time ranking children and more time helping them to identify their natural competencies and gifts and cultivate these. There are hundreds and hundreds of ways to succeed and many, many different abilities that will help you get there.” -Howard Gardner
Music, Sweet Music…
Each month the children learn different songs when they attend a weekly music session with their class. Led by our resident musician Carla Briggs, the children sing classic songs and seasonal favorites. The songs and lyrics for January can be found here. We are working on getting audio files of these tunes up on our website in the near future. Enjoy!
Winter Weather Procedures
As winter progresses, we wanted to remind everyone to please use caution when driving on the hill to or from school. This is pre-treated when winter weather is anticipated, and plowed and salted as soon as possible. Even when treated the hill can be slippery, so please be aware and take the proper precautions when driving in snow or ice.
Overfield families will be notified via One Call Now if classes are cancelled due to inclement weather. Information may also be found by watching or logging on to the local news, WHIO Channel 7. Overfield does not delay due to the nature and length of our classes. We encourage you to use your own discretion when needed. Your safety is always first priority.
