2014-2015 Registration opens Monday! Registration for current and alumni families will be set up in the Gathering Place during drop-off and pickup this Monday, January 27 through Thursday, January 30. Class options were distributed in an email earlier this week. If you want to get a jump on the registration process, you can download the registration form here and fill it out to bring with you. The form will also be available during registration next week. Please talk with your child’s teachers or call the office if you have any questions.

Strawberry Festival: If you enjoy cooking and baking, and have some great strawberry recipes, the OFP would love for you to offer ideas for the Strawberry Festival Booth fundraiser. We will meet in the Library after morning drop off on Monday, January 27th. Bring your recipe ideas and creativity to our meeting.

Winter Weather: With the unusual winter we are experiencing, we want to clarify our policy for closing school. Because we are private and do not provide busing, we very rarely delay classes. If we do not feel the weather conditions are safe for travel, however, we will close. You will receive a call and our closing will be posted on WHIO Channel 7. Stay warm!

Help us Spread the Word: We will host an Open House February 9 from 2–4pm to give new families a chance to see what Overfield is all about. Current families are the best tool we have for recruiting new students, so we hope you will help us spread the word about the Open House. Yard signs advertising the event will be available in the Gathering Place all next week. We would love for those of you who live in neighborhoods and other high-traffic areas to take a sign home with you and set it out in your yard starting February 3. Another great way to encourage potential students to visit is by word of mouth. We hope that your experiences at Overfield make you want to talk about it with others. As an added inducement, we offer a $100 tuition discount for every family you refer who ends up registering. Please help us bring new families to Overfield.

Grandparent and Special Friends Days: Once again this year we have set aside two days for grandparents and other special friends to visit the school and spend a day with our students. If you have someone you’d like to invite, put the dates on your calendar: February 26 and 27. Feel free to invite grandparents, etc. for one day or two. We’ll have activities planned that children and their grandparents can enjoy together. Please also know that we have an open door policy for parents. You are always welcome in our classrooms, and we encourage you to come and spend time here. Talk to your child’s teacher if you have questions or would like help picking out a special date to come.
