- Gathering Parent Dreams for the Future of Overfield! Thursday, November 6: We hope parents will make plans to join us this Thursday, from 6–7:30 for an important Overfield Family Partnership (OFP) meeting. Overfield’s Strategic Planning team wants to incorporate your ideas into shaping the future of the school. What do you value about your child’s experience here? How would you like to see the school grow or change? We hope to have a lively conversation as parents share their dreams with the Leadership Team. All parents and caregivers are welcome. Complementary childcare is available by calling or emailing the office to reserve a spot.
- No Classes this Friday, November 7: All classes but Toddlers will be closed this Friday, November 7 so that teachers can collaborate and prepare for parent-teacher conferences in early December. Childcare is available at our normal Before and After Care rates by calling or emailing the office to reserve space.
- There is still time to buy tickets for the Best of Dayton event: The Overfield School has been selected as a finalist in the inaugural Best of Dayton event hosted by Dayton Magazine, in the category of Best Preschool. Hundreds of Dayton Magazine readers and the general public voted in their inaugural Best of Dayton, and we made the list of three finalists in this category.
This year’s finalists are being brought together for a showcase and celebration. Join us on Thursday, November 13, 2014, at the Mandalay Banquet Center from 5:30pm to 8:30pm for the Best of Dayton Celebration & Judging. As a finalist, we will be provided with the opportunity to showcase our school. In order to vote, you must be present at this event. To purchase tickets visit thedaytonmagazine.com/BODAYTON and enter the promotion code: Finalist. Tickets are $10.00 and include 2 drink tickets, sampling of food and products from participating finalists, and a ballot to vote. Note: Tickets must be purchased in advance for the discount to apply and only a limited quantity is available. We encourage as many people as possible to attend in support of Overfield.
